**Insulation + cushioning**In one soft, protective liner

**Tested as a system**Liner, coolant, payload and pack-out together

**Independently tested**Best in Class screening yield in a paper mill recyclability test

Independently tested. Best in Class screening yield.

## Protect. Unpack. Recycle.

No vague environmental promises. No complicated sustainability story, just high-performance insulation, backed by independent evidence.

When it comes to recyclability, we don't think you should just claim it, you should prove it.

EcoCool encapsulated liners were tested by an independent paper laboratory under conditions that simulate a conventional paper recycling mill. They achieved a total screening yield of 96.6%, the share of the material that passes through the mill's screens, rated Best in Class, and a Technical Recyclability Score of 91/100.

**Putting all of this testing together, we have a product that is not only kerbside recyclable and rated GREEN for UK RAM, but also rated Best in Class under independent recyclability review.**

**Ask your supplier for their recyclability report. Ours is available on request.**

The real question

## Sustainable insulation is only sustainable if it works

We get it. There are plenty of low-cost paper insulation options that look sustainable. The real question is whether the complete pack-out protects your product in real conditions, on a real route.

Polystyrene, loose paper fill, cotton, jute and unrecyclable fibres each solve part of the problem. However, EcoCool has been built to perform across supply chain requirements: protect the product first, then make the box easy to recycle.

- Polystyrene
- Loose paper fill
- Cotton
- Jute
- Unrecyclable fibres

Each solves *part* of the problem.

EcoCool® Built to perform across the whole supply chain.

Inside EcoCool

## Engineered from cardboard. Designed for protection.

A durable outer paper liner encapsulates a compressed, bound paper-fibre core. This structure combines cushioning protection with thermal insulation.

Performance first

## Performance first. Sustainability without compromise.

01

### Tested as a complete system

Thermal protection is proven with insulation, coolant, payload and pack-out working together, not an isolated headline duration.

02

### Cushioning as well as insulation

A soft, protective liner with the cushioning, shock absorption and feel customers expect from foam, designed to help protect the contents in transit.

03

### Designed for straightforward disposal

Made from clean, unused cardboard offcuts and designed for kerbside recycling, so there's nothing to separate and nothing for your customers to work out.

04

### Evidence over assumptions

The right pack-out is proven against your actual product, route and temperature requirement, not a theoretical duration on a data sheet.

25 years of cold chain

One tested pack-out, as an example

## 48 hours in a cycling chamber. Product surface stayed below 8°C.

In laboratory chamber testing, a large EcoCool pack-out was loaded with minced meat chilled to 4°C and four frozen ice packs, then held for 48 hours in a chamber cycling between roughly 20°C and 25°C. Over that time the product surface temperature stayed below 8°C.

That's one tested pack-out in one set of conditions. Yours should be proven against your own product, route and temperature requirement, and that's the part we do with you before you switch.

Test conditions

- Chamber profile matched to the one used to test comparable fibre liners, cycling between roughly 20°C and 25°C over 48 hours
- Large box: 14″ (355 x 355 x 355 mm)
- Payload: 11 x 500g packs of minced meat, chilled at +4°C for 24 hours
- Coolant: 4 x 850g ice packs, frozen at −22°C for 24 hours
- Quantities scaled from a reference shipper
- Result reported: product skin probe

What changes when you switch

## A route away from polystyrene without changing how you pack.

- 01Products arrive in the condition they left you in
- 02Fewer damaged goods, returns and complaints
- 03Less spoilage and fewer rejected deliveries
- 04Thermal protection without the cost of refrigerated transport
- 05Packaging your customers can put in the kerbside recycling

FAQ

## Questions, answered

Is paper insulation protective enough?

That's the right question, and it depends on the whole pack-out, not the liner alone. We prove the combination of liner, coolant, payload and box against your product, route and temperature requirement before you commit.

What's it made from?

Clean, unused cardboard offcuts, formed into a soft liner that fits a standard box.

Do I still need coolant?

Yes. EcoCool insulates and cushions, and coolant does the cooling. Hydropac has the range to match it to your pack-out.

Can it go in normal recycling?

It's designed for kerbside recycling, so it goes in with the box.

How do I know it's recyclable?

We had it tested! An independent paper laboratory tested the EcoCool encapsulated liner under conditions that simulate a conventional paper recycling mill. It scored 91/100 for technical recyclability, with a Best in Class screening yield. We'll share the report on request.

What can I do with it after use?

Beyond recycling, we're exploring second-life uses like loft insulation and animal bedding with early customers. Register to be part of that.

When can I get it?

Early access opens 4th November. Register now to secure your stock for Christmas.
